The R. M. Bohart Museum of Entomology founded in 1946, is located on the University of California, Davis campus. The museum is dedicated to teaching, research and service. We have the seventh largest insect collection in North America, which is worldwide in coverage. The collection holdings total more than seven million specimens, and focus on terrestrial and fresh water invertebrates. The museum is also home of the California Insect Survey, a storehouse of the insect biodiversity of California’s deserts, mountains, coast and great central valley.

Orders are shipped from the museum every Friday, no matter what the shipping method and usually take around 5-7 mailing days. For orders outside the US please select parcel post as the shipping option.
For orders within the US please select parcel post, priority mail, or if you are in town you can select In Store Pickup. See hours above.
If you are purchasing an INSECT COLLECTING KIT YOU MUST SELECT THE SHIPPING OF INSECT COLLECTING KIT, EVEN IF YOU ARE PURCHASING OTHER ITEMS. In California for an insect collecting kit you can select priority mail insect collecting kit, or ground insect collecting kit CA. Outside of California you can select prioirity mail insect collecting kit or you can select ground insect collecting kit USA outside CA.
